GLICO Life Strengthens Sales Performance at 2026 Individual Life Mid-Year Performance Review and Training

GLICO Life has successfully concluded its three-day Individual Life 2026 Mid-Year Performance Review and Training Program, bringing together Sales Managers, Team Leads, Sector Managers and Back-Office Managers.

The program provided an opportunity to assess performance during the first half of the year, identify areas requiring improvement and equip the sales team with the knowledge, skills and motivation needed to achieve and exceed the Company’s 2026 production targets.

Opening the program, the Chief Sales Officer (CSO), Benjamin Avickson, commended the Sales Managers, Team Leads and their teams for their commitment and contribution to the progress recorded so far. While congratulating them on their efforts, the CSO emphasized the need to intensify sales activities during the second half of the year to close performance gaps and achieve the set targets.

The CSO also highlighted the importance of recruiting, training and retaining more Sales Agents to expand the Company’s distribution capacity and reach more customers across the country. Sales leaders were encouraged to build stronger and more productive teams capable of sustaining business growth and delivering greater value to customers.

As part of the program, the Heads of the various Back-Office Departments facilitated practical training sessions for the sales team. The sessions strengthened participants’ understanding of internal processes, product administration, customer service and the essential collaboration required between the sales and operational teams. The training also provided a platform for participants to seek clarification, share challenges and identify solutions to improve service delivery and the overall customer experience.

A major highlight of the program was a presentation by the Managing Director, Maame Dufie Achampong-Kyei Obeng (Mrs.) on the theme:

“Driving Sustainable Growth: Key Priorities to Achieve and Exceed the 2026 Production Targets.”

In her address, the Managing Director underscored the importance of sales excellence, discipline, accountability, teamwork and consistent execution. She explained that achieving sustainable growth requires more than experience; it demands a deliberate change in mindset, a willingness to adopt new approaches and a renewed commitment to results.

She encouraged the team to become more customer-focused, proactive and intentional in identifying opportunities, building relationships and providing suitable insurance solutions. She further called on Sales Managers and Team Leads to inspire their teams, monitor performance closely and create an environment where every Sales Agent can succeed.

The Executive Chairman, Dr. Kwame Achampong-Kyei, also delivered an inspiring message to participants, motivating them to remain focused, resilient and united in pursuing the Company’s goals. He reminded the team of the important role they play in extending financial protection to individuals and families and encouraged them to approach the second half of the year with confidence, determination and a strong sense of purpose.

The three-day program concluded with the Mid-Year Recognition and Awards Ceremony, which celebrated outstanding sales performance, leadership and dedication during the first half of 2026.

The award recipients were:

  • Caleb Kwaku Amponsah, Team Supervisor – Highest Incepted Premium
  • Ernest Sarfo, Agency Manager – Best Agency Manager
  • Samuel Agyei Kwao, Team Lead – Best Team Leader

The awardees were commended for their exceptional contributions to the Individual Life business and for demonstrating the commitment, discipline and leadership required to drive sustainable growth.

The recognition ceremony inspired the entire sales team to pursue excellence, improve productivity and approach the second half of the year with renewed determination. The program ended with a collective commitment to strengthen Sales Agent recruitment, deepen customer engagement and work collaboratively towards achieving and exceeding the Company’s 2026 production targets.

Through initiatives such as the Mid-Year Performance Review and Training Program, GLICO Life continues to invest in its people, celebrate excellence and build a high-performing, customer-focused sales force capable of driving sustainable growth.
