His Excellency (H.E.) J. Ayikoi Otoo, who was called to the Ghana Bar in 1981, is one of the most highly regarded lawyers in Ghana. He is also a politician of repute. As a political and social commentator, he has contributed immensely to many national discourses on television and radio for many years.

H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo served as Attorney-General and Minister of Justice from February 2005 to April 2006 and became a non-voting member of Ghana’s Parliament. During the period, he successfully led Ghana’s Delegation to international Arbitration on a number of occasions.

He has served on Constitutional bodies such as the Greater Accra Regional Lands Commission and Statutory bodies such as the Judicial Council of Ghana and Chairman of the Legal Service Board In 2017, H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo moved to Canada, following his appointment as Ghana’s High Commissioner to Canada by President Akufo Addo, where he represented his country admirably.

H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo is the founder of Otoo & Associates (Leo Chambers), a reputable law firm based in Accra. He has been an active member of the Ghana Bar Association and has held the office of Regional President and National Secretary of the Ghana Bar Association (GBA) for three consecutive terms spanning a period of three years (1998 to 2001).

As a legal practitioner, he has handled many high-profile cases some of which have been reported in the Ghana Law Reports and Supreme Court of Ghana Law Reports.
In the corporate world, H.E. J. Ayikoi Otoo has served on a number of boards including being a member of the Interim Management Team of Sabat Motors and Chairman of the Board of Directors of SIC Insurance Company. He is also a Fellow of the Ghana Institute of International Affairs.
